The Ultimate Avengers is the first animated movie based on Marvel's chart-topping comic of the Ultimates.
Introduction
Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, returns to the world after being frozen in ice for 60 years.
It's a different world. A world that needs heroes. With Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Giant Man and others, he
forms a team to preserve justice in chaotic times. Together they are called the Avengers.

Summary of the Ultimate Avengers the movie plot
In 1945, Humanity was on the brink of annihilation as sinister forces pushed to seize control of the free world
and only one man rose up to stop them. When a nuclear missile was fired at the Capitol, Captain America managed
to detonate it in the upper atmosphere, but in the process he sacrificed himself, falling miles into the icy
depths of the North Atlantic, where he remained lost for over sixty years. Now, with the world facing the very
same evil, Captain America must rise once again as the last hope for survival and lead a strong-willed team of
today's superheroes.
Ultimate Avengers the Movie is the story of six very independent heroes who must
fight together to save the world. Little do they know that their biggest threat would emerge from within their very
own ranks from The Incredible Hulk! - the green man goes real bad in this one.
Ultimate Avengers the movie was supposed to be a climax to the long running comic series of the Ultimates which contained a darker
side than the movie has been allowed to portray - probably for marketing purposes. Comic fans may not appreciate the film, although
the animation is apparently very good. There is supposed to be a follow up to Ultimate Avengers the movie called "Ultimate Avengers II" due
out later in 2006.
